Urgent Response

Our Urgent Response Aides (URAs) are on duty around the clock to respond to emergency alerts, SARA pendant activations, phone requests or pull-cord activations. Panorama’s on-campus response team offers first aid/CPR, notifies family members and calls 911 if medical assistance is required.

Panorama has a dedicated phone number for emergency response or welfare checks, exclusively for residents and their loved ones. Simply call and we will respond immediately. There is no charge.

If you are experiencing a life-threatening medical emergency, call 911 directly.

How does Urgent Response help?

If a resident is experiencing a serious medical condition (such as severe shortness of breath, chest pain, or a traumatic injury), they should always call 911 first. Once 911 has been notified, it’s recommended that the resident call the URA for support services so that the medical personnel have all necessary information. If they are transported to a hospital, the URA will notify the Social Services Advisors, who will follow up on any needs. The URA, if requested, can notify family members.

HELP IS ON THE WAY

SARA SYSTEM

Upon move-in, each resident is provided a SARA pendant, which stands for “Situational Awareness and Response Assistant.”

If a resident is experiencing serious medical symptoms such as severe shortness of breath, chest pain, or a traumatic injury, they should dial 911 immediately (if they can) and then press the SARA pendant button.  If they are unable to dial 911, they can just press their SARA button and a URA responds.
