Love for Health & Fitness

The month of February is all about love; or so Hallmark tells us. This February (and every other one for that matter) let’s switch gears and focus on self-love!

Most of us are taught from an early age that to share, care for others, and be selfless are good things. In reality, yes, these acts of altruism are wonderful and can give us a big return in our overall health. However, we often forget to put ourselves first in that equation. If we fail to pay attention to this necessity for self-care, it can negatively impact us and those we love and care for.

For the month of February, take some time to participate in activities that show yourself how much you love and appreciate your body and mind! Track daily activities or exercises that stimulate your mind and body.

Lower Body Exercises - Lower body exercises can include any activity that requires you to utilize your muscles from the waist below. This includes walking, cycling, stairs, squats, etc.

Organize - Find time to organize different aspects of your life which may include, but are not limited to: your monthly/weekly schedule, a bedroom, drawers, files, cars, closets and/or bathrooms.

Vegetables - Incorporate a NEW vegetable (or fruit) in your daily diet.

Educational - Take part in an educational program that will stimulate your mind. This can be a book you purchase, an article you read, or even a documentary you watch!
