Arts and Entertainment

a Full Palette of Arts and Culture

Arts and culture thrive here. We are a community of artists, ranging from those who are just beginning to explore their talents to those who have made art their career.
The arts are so important here that years ago Panorama and its residents planned, financed and built the state-of-the-art Panorama Auditorium. With 206 spacious seats, this auditorium presents a wonderful selection of concerts, theatrical performances, guest speakers and engaging Learning in Retirement Lectures. Our free Monday Night Programs draw some of the finest talent in the region, including ballroom dancers, concert pianists and jazz, folk and rock bands. The stage is never dark, with an endless array of productions, rehearsals, and workshops for residents to explore and expand their own talents. Not a performer? Enjoy your seat in the audience at any number of these events.
Creating community through art

Panorama Arts Guild

The Panorama Arts Guild (a steering committee) was created by residents to promote resident artists and their work. Most of the arts are represented – from ceramics to woodworking and everything in between, including fiber, theater, music, photography, metalworking and visual arts. Projects sponsored by the Arts Guild include:
  • Luncheons that are hosted 6 times a year with resident and local community speakers on a wide variety of topics.
  • Exhibits of resident art rotated three times a year on the walls of The Gallery at Seventeen51 Restaurant & Bistro.
  • A display case of small, 3-D artwork changed four times a year.
  • Resident artwork on display in corporate staff offices, changed twice a year.
  • Hosts the Annual Art’s Walk.

Art Opportunities in the Local Area

Panorama is surrounded by arts and culture. Our Lifestyle Enrichment program coordinates a wide array of off-campus ventures, including performances, museums, lectures, and community events.

One of our preferred off-campus venues is The Washington Center for the Performing Arts, which offers a full season of performances by national and international touring groups, including music, dance, theater and family entertainment. At the end of any performance, you’ll often find the Panorama bus waiting at the theater’s front entrance, ready to greet our residents boarding for a 15-minute ride home.

Panorama’s location in western Washington makes it ideal for taking advantage of the cultural offerings of Seattle and Tacoma to the north and Portland, Oregon, to the south.
